My Top 10 of 2025

In 2025, we saw a total of 1,071 Lego items released (according to Brickset; number includes sets, accessories, gwps, etc.). We saw new themes like Bluey, Nike and One Piece. Creative and unique sets from the Creator, Ideas, and Super Mario themes. As well as awesome new sets from fan favorite themes like Harry Potter and Star Wars. In no particular order, here is a look at my top 10 sets I own and/or built from 2025.

Bluey’s Beach & Family Car Trip (11202)

My kids and I are Bluey fans and we’ve watched every episode multiple times. WhSuen I heard Lego was released sets based on the Bluey show I was super excited. I went to the Lego store on June 1st and it was really cool to see the new Bluey sets on shelves, especially Bluey’s Beach & Family Car Trip. Sure, it’s a 4+ set but you get Bluey, Bingo and Chili, as well as the iconic Heeler car. I picked this set up at a discount (as of this post, 20% off) and it’s patiently waiting in my backlog to be built. Fingers crossed for more great Bluey sets in 2026.

Happy Plants (10349)

A welcome addition to the Botanicals theme, the Happy Plants were introduced to Lego fans in 2025. The Botanicals theme includes beautifully designed flowers and plants for everyone, especially those who may not be great at keeping real flowers or plants alive (like me). This year, Lego remixed the theme with a little fun and gave us 2 friends as potted plants. You get a dracaena and pilea, smiling faces, and can even have the pots hold hands. Rumor is, we’ll be happier with more happy plants to join the friends.

Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. (21357)

Designed by Lego fan creator TOBY1KENOBI, Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. received 10k votes for support, was reviewed and approved, and produced and hit shelves in 2025. I love that Lego gives fan designers an opportunity to submit ideas for a chance to have them become real sets. I enjoy looking at other designer’s builds and learning from their techniques - just look at how they got the lamp to take the perfect shape and creativity around the Pixar ball. I’m always looking forward to new Ideas sets and can’t wait to see what we get next year.

Game Boy (72046)

I grew up in the 90’s and played the Game Boy throughout my childhood. That meme you’ve probably seen about how choosing your Pokemon starter being the hard decision ever was something I lived for real. When Lego announced the Game Boy I knew I had to have it. I haven’t built it yet, but from everything I’ve seen it looks like it’s going to be a very enjoyable build and a set that’ll stay on my display forever.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS (77239)

Speed Champions is one of my favorite themes and the Porsche 911 GT3 RS did not disappoint. I was most drawn in by the unique color, and when I started to build the car I remembered I enjoy the awesome build techniques Speed Champions designers use in these cars. Also, because I don’t plan to own a real Porsche any time soon, this Lego set fills that dream perfectly for now.

Brick-Built Star Wars Logo (75407)

I know I know, it’s just a sign. But, as a fan of how Lego designs sets, I was in awe at how they created the lettering here. It’s a perfect sign in my opinion with the Yellow and Black color pallette, replicating the iconic logo, and hiding an Easter egg.

Optimus Prime Robot & Vehicle (40803)

Another nostalgia trip for me here. I still watch Transformers movies today and love that Lego made Optimus as a Brickheadz. You can get Optimus as a Lego Transformer, but seeing him in this smaller Brickheadz form is a great way to enjoy Transformers at a different scale. If you want, you can even build Optimus as an #oopsmillenniumfalcon like I did. Or, build Optimus as a Brickheadz Transformer AND as a truck. Also, if you’ve built Brickheadz you’ve seen the fun pink and green inner bricks, and you’ll get a fun surprise with Optimus.

Airplane vs. Hospital Bed Race Car Pack (60459)

Small, but mighty. This soap box race care set is one of my favorites because it packs so much fun in such a small set. With just 70 pieces you get a great air plane car combo with a pilot and an injured race in the hospital bed. Look at that patient with the cast, IV fluid setup, and vital signs on the monitor! So creative and so much fun. Better get this set soon because it retires at the end of the year.

Rebel U-Wing Starfighter (75399)

I was in my Lego Dark Ages in 2016 when U-Wing (75155) was available. Fortunately, I got back into Lego a few years ago. I had to pick up the new U-Wing because it’s one of my favorite Star Wars ships. Sure, there are a few areas that you can improve the set if you want to deviate from the instructions. But, overall, the ship is a fun build, a great size, comes with minifigures to play with, and it’s perfectly swooshable. Pick it up at the right price and that makes it even better.

Gingerbread AT-AT Walker (40806)

One of the biggest hits of the holiday season, the Gingerbread AT-AT Walker was hard to find almost as soon as it was released in October 2025. I picked one up during a Whatnot stream (sans Gingerbread Darth Vader) and absolutely fell in love with it. Maybe it was the magic of the season, or maybe it was the alternative builds you can create with this set. I followed instructions found on Rebrickable to build the BD-1 droid and I built my own U-Wing ship. After Christmas, I’m storing this set away with our holiday decorations to build it again next year.

Bonus: Lego Store GWP (40528)

This is not a 2025 release, but I’m including it as a bonus for my 2025 list because my family and I went to a Lego store opening this year and we got this GWP. Because of the memories I made with my kids that day, it’s a top 2025 set for me!

Thank you for reading my blog today and all year! 2026 is just around the corner and on behalf of Brick Dynasty, Happy New Year! I hope you are excited for all things Lego and all things Brick Dynasty that are coming in 2026 because we have a lot coming.
