71848 The Temple Bounty
Fans of the Ninjago series are gonna need to work some overtime to keep up with all the new releases with 7 of the 10 sets coming in at $50 and up. Standouts of the new releases are 71847 The Guardian Dragon and 71848 The Temple Bounty
City
60473 The City Tower
Only 1 set released in June within the City theme and I have to say it looks great. At 1941 pieces and $210, it is a large set but has a great contrast in color. Australia saw 10 City sets released in June (these will be released in August in the US and Canada). There are some incredible looking sets like 60471 Arctic Truck, 60470 Explorer Train, and 60466 Bulldozer.
The City theme is a staple in the Lego lineup. My initial assessment is that Lego has really upped their game within this theme.

One Random Thought
Google Docs is in tune with modern Lego culture.
I write my rough drafts for these blogs on Google Docs and usually have some spelling errors that it will prompt me on. I was surprised when it told me I had misspelled words like Spinjitzu (Ninjago) and Quidditch (Harry Potter). While those with familiarity with those themes would know how to spell them, I am impressed Google Docs was able to recognize I misspelled them initially.
Check back next week as we take a look at Minecraft, Art, Ideas, Icons, and Fortnite.
Until next time AFOLs….
