Lego June Release Recap - Part 1
June 1st was an enormous release day for Lego as they released over 50 new sets in the United States.
I thought it would be a good idea to dedicate a blog post each month to an overview of all the new releases. June saw so many new sets released that, for brevity’s sake, I have decided to take the entire month of June to cover them all. Each week in June, I will cover 4-5 themes that saw new releases, cover some highlights, and give some opinions along the way. For those of you that only look at the pictures, those will be included as well…
The first group of themes from the June releases that will be covered are the Bluey sets (brand new IP for Lego), Botanicals, Speed Champions, and Star Wars.
Bluey (new theme IP)
11203 Bluey's Family House
11201 Playground Fun with Bluey and Chloe
10459 Bluey's Family House with Memory Game
11202 Bluey's Beach & Family Car Trip
10458 Ice Cream Trip with Bluey
The Bluey theme is a great addition to the Lego portfolio as it is aimed at children (all sets are 4+ or Duplo). Fans of the show will definitely enjoy building these as it brings the beloved characters into Lego form. The Bluey theme will be a great way for adults to introduce, instruct, and share Lego with their children or younger relatives.
Lego Bluey
Lego welcomes Bluey, Bingo, Chilli and Bandit to the Lego lineup with 5 new sets released June 1.
Botanicals
10349 Happy Plants
10348 Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree
The latest releases in the Botanicals collection do not disappoint. 10349 Happy Plants goes in a slightly different direction than all the other Botanical sets as it adds in some cute and playful features with the smiley faces on the pots. The pots also have arms and feet giving them a lifelike feel, which also makes this set a fun display and conversation piece.

How can anyone look at this set and not love it?
10348 Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree stays true to the previous Botanicals builds with its realism and beautiful colors.
Speed Champions
77241 2 Fast 2 Furious Honda S2000
This set is the latest addition to the Fast & Furious themed Lego cars in the Speed Champions theme. The Honda is 300 pieces and features a pink replica S2000 from the 2nd Fast & Furious movie driven by Suki. With Lego adding another car from the Fast & Furious movies seems to imply that trend will continue into the future.

Star Wars
75400 Plo Koon’s Jedi Starfighter Microfighter
75411 Darth Maul Mech
75412 Death Trooper & Night Trooper Battle Pack
May the 4th has come and gone but the steady release of new Star Wars Lego sets continues. These three sets are all on the smaller end of the spectrum, but what they lack in size they make up for in awesomeness! Personally, I have always been a huge fan of the microfighters series, so to see these sets continue to be released is great news.
One Random Thought - Lego Masters
The US version of Lego Masters began airing season 5 on May 19. Lego Masters has always been one of my favorite shows since its debut in 2020. I also really enjoy the Holiday edition they put on during the month of December featuring a celebrity paired with a former show contestant with proceeds going to charity.
I recently started watching the Australian version of Lego Masters on Tubi.com. I have to say I like it better than the US version. The judging is a little more harsh but the focus remains on the builders and what they are tasked with. I feel the US version had gotten a little “gimmicky” too much manufactured drama. I can only take so much of Will Arnett and with each season they seem to dialup his obnoxiousness (is that a word?)
Ok, that wraps up the first edition of the June releases. Next week, I will be covering Harry Potter, Creator, Ninjago, City, and Lego Exclusives.
Until next time AFOL’s….
