New Minecraft Sets for January 2026

Minecraft is a well loved Lego theme. Fans of the theme are about to get some awesome sets on the first day of 2026. On October 25, 2025, Lego added 8 new Minecraft sets with a coming soon status to their website. I’m not a huge fan of Minecraft, but my kids are, and after recently building The Creeper figure and seeing these new sets I’m becoming more and more interested.

First up, all 5 of these sets are under $30 USD. Solid piece count, minifigures and animals (or mobs as my kids are telling me), and enough of a build to create a scene, especially for kids to play with using their creative minds and imagination.

The Nether & End Portal Journey has a fun portal function, Zombie Dungeon comes with several characters to play with, and The Pale Garden features a brick-built creaking and a awesome looking winged Mothman.

Steve’s Tiaga Adventure

Tiny but terrific! Steve, a Creeper, and 2 mobs - a baby bunny and fox. It looks like they molded a new fox head which looks great, and the bunny looks evil with those red eyes, but cute. This small set packs a lot of punch.

Chicken Farm

Chicken eggs, come and get it! The fox is in this set too, along with a big boy chicken and a little chicken, a Chicken minifig, and the baby zombie aka chicken jockey. I think every kid who loved the Minecraft movie should have fun with this one.

Now, let’s look at the bigger sets. There are 3 that range from $39.99 to $64.99, 1 set is a playset and the other 2 are geared towards the older Minecraft fan. Let’s take a look at them.

Wither Battle

Have an epic battle with 7 Minecraft characters including a Crimson Warrior, 2 skeleton mobs, a strider, baby strider, wither and magma cube. The most expensive of the newest sets, but still under $65 is not bad at all. Not a huge fan of this one, but I can see some great play fights happening here.

The Fox

I just built The Creeper, so seeing The Fox as a new release makes me want to pair them together. Although this set says play and display, based on my experience with The Creeper, I have doubts it’s built for play. If I end up picking up this set, it’ll be displayed proudly with The Creeper and our Minecraft collection.

Mini Biomes

This set reminds me of the Creator series postcards and I love that Lego designed this for Minecraft. 5 different biomes are featured, along with micro minifigure characters, and a beautiful background that you can switch between day and night. This is my favorite set of the new releases.

All 8 new Minecraft sets are winners for different reasons. Whether it’s the nice price points, collection of minifigures and mobs, imaginative play possibilities, or great display pieces, there’s at least one reason Lego fans will want these sets. I bet they cannot wait until January 1, 2026!

With these Minecraft sets and the Speed Champions sets that are coming in 2026, we have a lot to look forward to next year.
