Review: Lego Brick-Built Star Wars Logo (75407)
New to the Lego Star Wars theme is the Star Wars logo! Officially named the “Brick-Built Star Wars Logo,” Lego released the new set in May 2025 along side their annual May the 4th event. The set recreates the iconic Star Wars logo with 700-pieces. The yellow and black bricks make a perfect combination to stand out and display on collector’s shelves. I absolutely love the elements and design choices from the letters, to the piece choices, the Easter egg.

After completing the build and as I stared at the build in all its glory, something I feel like might go underrated is that you can see the lines in the letters (or the almost tight spaces between the bricks). I think I like this so much because from an artist or designer perspective, it gives the STAR WARS lettering a blueprint feel. Like the designer purposefully sketched the letters this way and it shows beautifully through Lego.
The negative space or black background is made out of textured bricks that include 2 x 2 round with grille bricks, modified 1 x 2 logs, and black utensil ingot bars. These types of bricks are spread throughout the black space and it gives it a unique look that builders can appreciate. I like the yellow letters against the black background because it’s so eye catching, and can stand out when displayed with out Star Wars elements.
This is definitely an 18+ set as I can see how younger builders may get frustrated with some of the instructions. I know I was confused at least two different times! But, it wasn’t something that I need to call Lego and figure out. There were stud-not-on-top (SNOT) techniques and fun bracket design choices. I like that the build is only 4 studs wide, so it can fit nicely on display. As you may have seen, many collectors and builders display the new Star Wars logo model with minifigures, ships, and other Star Wars sets.
The Easter egg in the set is hidden inside the “ST” of Star. Lift the section off and you reveal a mini diorama of the Imperial Star Destroyer chasing the Tantive IV. Star Wars fan will love this little feature. I think it’s awesome that Lego created these ultra-micro builds, but I do wish there were more.
Lego recently released another logo, the Marvel Logo and Minifigures. That build is very similar and includes Avengers minifigures. But, it doesn’t seem as appealing as the Star Wars logo. That being said, I can see the potential of Lego releasing future logos to go along with Lego themes like Disney, Harry Potter, and especially Jurassic Park! That logo would be amazing!
The Lego Star Wars Logo is a fun build and a great display piece. I’ll be honest and say that I was a little skeptical because I didn’t care for the Marvel logo and wasn’t sure how the Star Wars logo would be. But, after building the model and looking at it, it’s exceed expectations. Lettering in Lego form is difficult, but Lego did a fantastic job here. The design, the colors, the 3D effect, and the Easter egg are all thumbs up in my book (not to mention the potential for future logos). I’m adding this model to my collection and I hope you do too!
