Welcome to The Brick Dynasty Blog
Hello fellow Adult Fans of Lego (AFOL’s) and welcome to The Brick Dynasty Blog.
The blog is a new feature to The Brick Dynasty website/app to help keep you up to date on all things Lego. I will be posting weekly updates on the latest Lego news including new releases, promo’s, gift with purchase (GWP’s), and anything else worth mentioning regarding the hobby we all love. If you’re a fellow AFOL like me, then you know there is always something going on with Lego. I may also post randomly throughout the week if we get some exciting breaking news that deserves our immediate attention.
We know there are plenty of places on the internet and social media to find the latest Lego news and information, so we really appreciate that you have chosen to read your Lego news from The Brick Dynasty.
Before we get started I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Corey and I received my first Lego set when I was 5 years old as a christmas present and I was immediately hooked. My favorite themes as a child were Space and Technic with 8847 Technic Dragster and 6891 Gamma V Laser Craft as the most memorable from my childhood.

The large tires and functional steering on this set blew my 7 year old mind.

When I got this set for Christmas as a kid I stopped opening the rest of my gifts to go hide in my room and put this together.
What were your favorite sets growing up? Or what was the set that made you fall in love with Lego? I would love to hear about them and feature some stories in upcoming posts. Lego continues the Star Wars Helmet subtheme
March 1st also brought us the latest addition to the Lego Star Wars Helmet series with the 75429 AT-AT Driver Helmet which comes in at $69.99 with a piece count of 730.

This newest addition to the Star Wars Helmet theme is confirmation from Lego that they are continuing the line of helmet sets with rumors of a couple more helmets slated to release later this year. This is music to my ears beings the Star Wars helmet series are among some of my favorite displayable sets. I was hoping the rumors that we heard last year of the theme coming to an end were just that, rumors. Now that we have tangible proof of new helmets hopefully we can enjoy more Star Wars helmets for years to come.
Mario Day Reveal
Mario Day was March 10th (March 10…Mar 10, Mar-IO, get it?) and with that came a 2x insiders points promo on Super Mario sets which included sets from the new exciting subtheme, Mario Kart. This event also featured a cute little Mario Kart GWP polybag - Toad’s Pit Crew, with a spend threshold of $40 which ended on March 11th.
The big news of the day was the reveal of the new Mario Kart set 72037 Mario Kart™ – Mario & Standard Kart. This set will come in at 1972 pieces and retail for $169.99 USD. It is available for pre-order and will release on May 15th.
