Thoughts

My initial reaction to seeing this set on release was that I had to have it, without thinking it’s a Wednesday set. In my opinion, this set could have been a great addition to the Lego Botanicals lineup. The flower pot is built with clear elements to see into the plant room, which also acts as the playset area when you open the pot. The Black Dahlia Flower works as a lock feature to close the pot/playset, and the flower can be removed which is a nice feature. The flower itself is my favorite part of the set - it’s a beautiful black, dark blue and purple flower. You also get Wednesday and Marilyn Thornhill as minidolls.

Pros

  • Unique set with a beautiful flower in a darker sense

  • Fits nicely with a Botanicals collection (not so much if you’re using it as a playset)

  • The pot design allows the flower to sit inside when on display or attached when a opened as a playset

Cons

  • Not liking the recent flower set prices

  • Stickers! I’d prefer if the Black Dahlia Flower petals were prints

  • Wednesday themed
