My Personal Favorite Sets Retiring in 2025
I’m stealing a page from my fellow Brick Dynasty blog contributor, Tadashiroll, and doing a post of my favorite sets that will be retiring at the end of the year. If you haven’t read it, click here, to see his list.
With less than 2 months left in 2025, there are many Lego sets on my want list that I still need to obtain.
76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T. Rex Skull
Brickheadz:
40793 Tom & Jerry - Classic cartoon from my childhood
Jurassic World:
76964 Dinosaur Fossils: T. Rex Skull - Absolutely one of my favorite sets retiring in 2025.
Super Mario:
71437 The Bowser Express Train - Bowser is just cool
Marvel:
76285 Spider-Man's Mask - Get this set now or expect to pay crazy aftermarket prices after retirement.
Star Wars:
75304 Darth Vader Helmet - The greatest villain of all time in Lego form!
42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car
75376 Tantive IV - Ship from the opening scene of A New Hope
Sonic:
77000 Shadow the HedgehogTechnic:
42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car - This set is incredibly detailed. You have to look closely to see it’s a technic set.
The above list highlights sets that I still need to purchase. The list that follows below are sets I have acquired (some I have built, most are in my backlog) that are my personal favorites and should be on everyone’s wish list
71411 The Mighty Bowser
Creator 3 in 1:
31154 Forest Animals: Red Fox - The fox build is amazing, can’t wait to build the other 2
Super Mario: (I have a thing for Bowser)
71431 Bowser’s Muscle Car - This set officially retired July 2025 but is still available on amazon for a MSRP.
71411 The Mighty Bowser - One of most iconic villains in the Nintendo universe.
Star Wars:
75380 Mos Espa Podrace Diorama - Star Wars diorama series is one of my favorites
75381 Droideka - The buildable droid subtheme is fantastic in my opinion
Remember these are MY personal favorites which means there are themes not included like Harry Potter, City, and Technic that contain great sets that will be gone at the end of the year. Do yourself a favor and check the retirement dates on your wishlist sets by looking at the Lego Retirement list from BrickTap or look them up using the Brick Dynasty App.
Buckle up and let's get ready for another crazy Q4 in the Lego world.
Until next time AFOL’s….
