Lego Editions
Hi Lego fans! I hope you all had a great Spring Break or have some Lego building planned in your next break. Today I’m taking a look at the Lego Editions theme.
Last year in 2025 Lego released several Nike sets including the Nike Dunk (43008) and Nike Dunk Trickshot (43021), several Lego x Nike collab shoes line that doesn’t include anything for adults (sorry fellow dads!), and another Lego set I won’t even link because I don’t like it (set# 43010). A small lineup of Lego sets that includes one shoe instead of 2 or a pair, and shoes that I can’t wear because they don’t come in my size. So, the start of the Editions or Nike theme didn’t go off well, at least in my opinion.
Now, a few months later and in the new year 2026, there are 17 products in the Editions theme (which sort of confusingly includes the Nike theme..). We see a new Nike set, plenty of new Soccer or Futbol related sets, and a couple of helmets from Formula 1 that I really like.
Nike Air Max 95 x Lego Set (43025)
First up, the new Nike set. It’s the Air Max 95 with 1 shoe (again), a cool bubble build of the word “AIR”, and an awesome little minifigure wearing a full Nike wardrobe. I would definitely buy the minifigure if it were sold separately. From the looks of the shoe build I think they did a great job capturing the Air Max 95 design with the layered plates. At $100 it’s still too rich for me, but if I ever collect the Lego Nike shoe sets and they come at a discount I’m in.
Next up, the Soccer / Futbol sets. Most of these are really cool, especially the individual player sets and the soccer ball. The individual player sets are all called “Soccer Highlights” with the superstar player that includes either Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe, or Vini Jr., depending on who your hero is. The base of the set features the home country, a soccer field with ball and set, and the name and number of the player. My favorite part is the minifigure and the swoosh kick Lego piece because it makes the players look like a superhero.
The Soccer Ball is a fun set once you take a deeper look. At first glance it’s just a soccer ball made of Lego, even the name of the set is just Soccer Ball. But, build it and open it up and find an exciting mini stadium celebration scene inside. The colors pop on the ball outside, and then the celebration inside is a fun and festive way to display the set. The ball is also almost a 1:1 creation of the size 5 ball used in official soccer games.
To round out the soccer sets you’ll see an awesome gold FIFA World Cup Official Trophy, Messi and Ronaldo as Soccer Legend sets, and a Celebration set of Messi that just features his back. Honestly, the design of this set looks like Messi crashed into a wall face first. But, maybe Messi fans like it.
Saving my favorites for last. The Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet (43014) and Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet (43022) are my favorite of this new Lego theme. I don’t follow Formula 1 and I’m not even much of a Lego helmet fan, but for some reason both of these sets are catching my eye. The colors are striking, I can’t wait to see the instructions to figure out the design techniques, and I think the main thing here is the visor element. That has to be a new piece by Lego. The visor gives Lego so much opportunity and the first thing that comes to mind is Power Ranger helmets! (Fingers crossed that comes soon). We will have to wait until May 1 for these helmets to be released.
In just a few months, Lego went from 3 sets and an age-discriminating Nike shoe line (joking of course), to more Nike, new Formula 1 sets, and a variety of options for Lego Soccer / Futbol fans everywhere. With these new sets I can see kids enjoying them because of the play-factor of the Soccer Highlights sets and minifigures, as well as adults with the display-ability of the FIFA trophy, Soccer Ball, and Formula 1 Helmets. Lego is really for everyone, so kids and adults alike can enjoy any of these.
Let me know your thoughts on Lego’s newer theme Editions / Nike and if you like any of these sets. I’m going to keep an eye on the Formula 1 helmets to go on sale because I want to get one and then possibly build my own Power Ranger helmet. I’m surprised that I like these helmets as much as I do considering I’m not a Formula 1 guy, but sets can surprise me like the Project Hail Mary set » check out Corey’s review here.
