BRICKED Score: Lego Brickheadz Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures (40794)

Hi Lego fans! I’m trying a new scoring system for my Lego set reviews and I’m calling it a BRICKED score.

B.R.I.C.K.E.D. stands for Box, Retirement, Investment, Creativity, Kid-Friendly, Experience, Display-ability.

First up in this new scoring system is Lego Brickheadz Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures, set# 40794. I picked up this set at the swap meet recently as an open-box item. I did a quick check inside the box and saw all 6 of the bags were inside, as well as the 2 instruction booklets, so I paid the seller’s asking price of $10. I built the set the same day (and was missing just 1 brick) and here’s my review and BRICKED score.

Box

The box is your standard double pack of Brickheadz, has the Wicked logo on the front, Elphaba and Glinda from the movie printed on one side, and the back showcases the display base for the figures. The pink to green gradient and stars provide a magical presence. You’ll also see the 1:1 brick scale on the top of the box, with a newly printed brick for Elphaba. If you don’t know what Wicked is you can at least figure out you’re getting a witch and a fairy? based on the front of the box.

Box score: 3 out of 5 - not super impressive, but it serves it’s purpose.

Retirement

Elphaba and Glinda Figures released in September 2025. The set had a very short shelf life and retired at the end of December 2025. That’s a total of 4 full months, something which Lego does not normally do. Since this is Brick Dynasty, you’re probably here for those kind of numbers.

Retirement score: 5 out of 5 - you may have missed your opportunity to buy this set.

Investment

The Recommended Retail Price (RRP) for this two pack was $19.99 USD. The set was on sale for $13.99, maybe even lower at some point during it’s short run. I’m not going to do all your homework for you, so go take a look those after-retirement prices. Brickheadz is one of my favorite sets because they stack nicely in storage, and depending on the character (and other factors) it can do well after retirement.

Investment score: 5 out of 5.

Creativity

In the Brickheadz theme, I find myself often impressed with the Lego team because of the designs they come up with to transform a popular character into a brick-built block figure. My favorite design choices with both Elphaba and Glinda are the way they build the hair, especially the backs. Also a nice touch is the newly printed 1 × 4 bricks for each of the figures’ chest pieces.

That’s about it because the dresses/outfits are not that exciting. I’m a little disappointed in the Glinda figure because I think they could have done a better job with the crown and the wand, and I don’t like that they used so many 1 × 4 plates and you can see the lines on her face.

Creativity score: 3 out of 5 - would have been a 2, but it is Brickheadz so I get there’s not much they can do.

Kid-Friendly

The set is for ages 10+, but the instructions are not that difficult that a 8 year old or maybe even as young as 7 years old can build this. The one area they may get tripped up is Glinda’s colors for her face and hair, but sorting that from the start should make it easy enough.

Looking at this from a pop-culture perspective, Wicked is very popular and I bet kids would like this set to display. On the other hand, the figures don’t have much going for it in terms of play-ability. Unless the kids want to play with larger Lego figures, compared to minifigures. On top of that, there’s not much functionality to these figures - other than moving the wand or broom to opposite hands and removing the figures from the base plates.

Kid-Friendly Score: 3 out of 5.

Experience

Building Lego should always be an enjoyable experience. With Elphaba and Glinda, the experience is great and I had no issues. I always appreciate the interior parts of Brickheadz because they make me think stomach, heart, or guts! I also like to build while watching a show or movie related to the set, but I’m not a fan of Wicked at all, so I didn’t do that here.

As I mentioned earlier, I did question Glinda’s design and brick choices while I was building. In particular, I can’t stop hating on the face with 3 lines - it makes her look muscular or something, I can’t really explain it.

Ultimately, 325 pieces is a nice quick build. For me, seeing a set start with bricks spilled out on my desk to then be built into the set is always a fun experience.

Experience Score: 4 out of 5 - I might always score these high because I always find enjoyment building Lego.

Display

Brickheadz are a great display piece because of their size and they look very similar to the characters you enjoy. If you are a fan of Wicked, then you’re likely buying and building this set. You’ll instantly recognize Elphaba because she’s green and Glinda because she’s pink, both of which will likely stand out on any display.

The one downside is what I talked about in terms of me not being a fan of Glinda’s crown, wand, or face design.

Display Score: 4 out of 5.

Final BRICKED Score

Based on the scores given in each category, the average BRICKED score I’m giving the Lego Brickheadz Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures is 3.86 out of 5. The retirement and investment scores bring this average up, and I did enjoy the building experience and display-ability of this set. It’s a particularly good set for Wicked fans.

If you liked this style of review and scoring system let me know. I’ll try to keep up with this format because I think it’s provide a solid overview, and because of the categories it allows me to take a deeper look at the set and provide some depth to my reviews.

Thanks for reading Lego fans!
